Thanksgiving in Tucson

For the second year in a row, we met my parents in Tucson, Arizona for Thanksgiving.  We flew into Phoenix and drove up to Flagstaff for a quick re-visit of Northern Arizona University and a chat with the Astronomy Program Director.  Then, we drove to Tucson to meet my parents.

The weather was nice and sunny, which was a nice break for us.  One day we took a hike in Sabino Canyon.  Here are a few of the pictures from our hike. There was a shuttle that you could take up the canyon with stops and trails along the way.

When we arrived, it was going to be about a half an hour before the next shuttle left.  So we decided to hike one of the trails up to the next stop.  We got a little off-trail and went further than we had planned and had to run back to catch the shuttle.  Fortunately, we just made it.  We rode it all the way to the end so we could hike the trails at the top.

Here's a view looking back down the canyon.

Frank and Anna on the trail.

I will show you a few more of my misc. pictures from the hike tomorrow.
