Vineyards

Our bicycle trip in Germany was along the Moselle river from Trier to Koblenz (then Braubach). The river is between two mountain ranges and it is wine country.





There were vineyards everywhere and we were amazed that they even had them growing up the steep slopes in rocky territory.


We noticed on the steep areas they had these tracks that went up throughout.

One day we noticed this "car" sitting on one of the tracks and realized how they work and harvest the grapes.


We enjoyed the rides, but we didn't stop to taste any wines. Although I'm sure there are people that do. I did have a glass of wine with dinner several nights.
