Phew!

I dropped off the commission piece last night and they liked it!  They wanted to hang it as soon as I had unrolled it.  I do have to say it looked great in their space.  I was too tired to set up lights and stuff to take a really good picture of it before I delivered it.  But here it is on my design wall. It turned out very, very close to the original drawing. It is about 49 inches square (for some reason it doesn't look very square in the photo), the biggest piece I've done.

Now it's time to pack up the sewing stuff again and turn the studio back into a guest room.  Frank's parents and Uncle Bob arrive tomorrow.

Well done Lisa - it looks super! That curve in the middle must have been fun to piece :-)

Fabulous. The colors are so "alive" and vibrant and the motion is so engaging.

Would love to see a photo of it actually hanging in the client's home. Just hope they have given it plenty of breathing room on a large wall and that they have a really modern home and atmosphere to show it off.

Lisa! This is stunning! I'm so impressed. Congrats, but no surprise that it turned out great. Many more to come I hope.

This is stunning! I remember back in the 60's when I would scribble on paper in class (when I was supposed to be taking notes, I'm sure). I would make a continuous-line curvy drawing, with lines crossing and intersecting each other, just as your work. Then, I would fill in every other section with pencil. The result would be an op-art black and white drawing. No two would be alike, so you could do it over and over and over, which I did. I have long wanted to make a wall art piece like this, but I didn't think of different colors! My mind was still stuck in the monochromatic design of the #2 pencil and paper! I can't tell you how impressed I am with this work! I am so drawn to it! Absolutely beautiful work coupled with your attention to detail.
