These pictures are mostly art that were on walls outside. On this trip I noticed that there was quite a bit of painting under the eaves of many buildings.
I think this one is amazing.
This was a wall inside one of the castles we visited and it is painted.
Wonderful stuff. Doesn't it make you want to just start painting all over walls and fences?!

Thanks for the pictures! They are making me homesick. ;-) I love the Mosel and Rhine rivers -- all those castles are so picturesque. It looks like you definitely hit the hot spots!
